About the Family
Chaim KRAKAUER and the KRAUS family received their visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes in Bordeaux on June 17 and 18, 1940.
They crossed into Portugal. Leopold and Erna KRAUS sailed from Lisbon to New York on the vessel São Tome in February 1941. Chaim KRAKAUER emigrated to the United States.
